Charge the receiver battery before each sensor insertion. Periodically
check the battery level to make sure it has enough charge.
If the battery drains, it will keep the time and date for 3 days without
being charged. After 3 days, the receiver will prompt you to reset the
time and date (see Chapter 5, Section 5.2, The Settings Menu).
When the receiver is used in a healthcare facility, charging must take
place away from the patient.
When the receiver is used for multiple patients, charging should take
place before the patient is given the system so only a recharge would be
necessary during the 7- day sensor session.
4.1.1 CHARGING THE RECEIVER BATTERY
FROM AN AC POWER OUTLET
To recharge the battery during the 7-day sensor session:
1. Carefully peel back the square seal that is over the USB port.
2. Plug the included USB cable into the AC power adapter.
3. Plug the AC power adapter into an AC power outlet.
4. Make sure the USB door is open so
you can reach the port easily. If it is
closed,pressdownrmlywithathumb
when sliding open the USB port cover.
